During August, Leaming's Run Gardens becomes a mecca for ruby-throated hummingbirds who come to feed before they migrate south on their long annual journey. Hummingbirds sometimes stay until mid-September.

Leaming’s Run offers guided hummingbird tours for novice and experienced birdwatchers during the month of August on Saturdays at 10 am and 2 pm and Tuesdays at 10am.
